Local Events answers one question: what can I go to today, near me, before 9 PM? Enter a US ZIP code or let the browser use your location, pick a radius from 5 to 25 miles, and the map fills with today's programme: open gym and lap swim at the recreation centre, storytime at the library, the high-school game, the run club, the farmers market, the concert in the square, and the events local groups and businesses have listed.
Every event shows when it starts and ends, whether it is free, members-only or ticketed, the price when the source states it, the venue with its address and front-desk phone, directions, and a link to the page it came from. Nothing to install and no account to browse.

- Everything happening today between now and 9 PM within your chosen radius: drop-in sport sessions, classes, library events, school games, meetups, markets, festivals, concerts and performances, plus events that local groups and businesses have listed. Each one is placed on a map with its start time, price tag, venue and directions.
- Where do the events come from?
- Four kinds of sources: the county's parks & recreation and library calendars; school athletics pages and the listing platforms small groups post on (Meetup, Eventbrite, Patch, public Facebook event pages), reached through Google's index; Ticketmaster for ticketed events; and listings submitted by local groups and businesses, reviewed before they go live.
- Is it free to use?
- Yes. Browsing needs no account and costs nothing. Each event is tagged free, membership or ticketed, with the price when the source states it, so you know before you go.
- Which areas are covered?
- Anywhere in the United States. Type a ZIP code or a city and state, or use your current location. Distances are in miles and times are shown in your local time zone.
- How do I list my event, or my business's event?
- Use "Add event". Tell us who you are (name, email, phone, business if any), why the event should be listed, and the event details. Every request is reviewed by a person, usually within a day, and you are emailed when it is live. Listing is free.
- How accurate is it?
- Events found by AI are labelled as such and always link to the page they came from. Programmes are refreshed every morning, so check the source page for last-minute changes before you go.
- Does it store my location?
- No. Your coordinates are used for one search and are not saved. You can type an address instead of sharing your location.
